In the portraits of Andrey Novikov, an unusual color scheme stands out: the artist uses bright, contrasting colors and complex combinations of pink, yellow, and orange shades. This gives the images a special expressiveness, as if pulling them out of the surrounding reality, and helps Andrey convey the emotional state of the person being portrayed and express his own attitude. He admits that in his works he strives to accentuate the characteristic features of each person and convey their personality.



Andrey is a Master of Fine Arts, a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. His works are on display at the permanent exhibition of the Erarta Museum (St. Petersburg), in the ARTIS galleries (Winzavod, Moscow), Borsch (Winzavod, Moscow), Fragment Gallery (Moscow), in private collections in Russia and the USA. The artist is a participant in solo and group exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Stavropol, Togliatti, Kaliningrad, Saransk, Saratov, Frederiksborg (Denmark). Winner and finalist of Russian and international competitions, including the "PortraitNow2019" competition in Frederiksborg.
