Evgeny Selyankin became famous for his portraits in the Tape art technique: he creates images using adhesive tape and duck tape.
Many-time prize-winner of the international exhibition-competition "ArtWeek", participant of all-Russian exhibitions of contemporary art in Kazan, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Krasnodar and in other cities. His works adorn private collections in Germany, Great Britain, the USA, Italy and the Netherlands, as well as several contemporary art museums in Russia.
Evgeny draws inspiration from the works of Andy Warhol, Banksy and hyperrealist artists. He loves paintings, which show all the small details as tiny as face pores, therefore, he works painstakingly to achieve maximum similarity in his own paintings. For him transfer of emotions is an interesting task:
"Lately I have felt an urge to create portraits showing genuine sincere emotions: to capture those moments when a person takes off the mask of a reserved adult for a little while and reconnects with his inner child."
The artist works from a photography. You need to provide 3-4 high quality photos. He is also happy to paint children's portraits.
