"I try to convey to the audience that every person is beautiful and interesting. You must be able to see the beauty of a living face, lines, eyes, facial expressions."
Anastasia Karaseva strives to achieve maximum portrait similarity and convey the beauty of a person as such. In her works, she primarily captures reality. "That's my artistic vision" is not the argument that the artist uses.
"It happens that the person in the portrait is similar to the original, but it is made ugly: muddy dirty-gray colors, painful color, trembling lines or, conversely, sharp "chopped" features. The first thing that catches the eye is the overall composition. I make sure that the construction of my paintings is harmonious."
The artist works from photos. You will need a good quality photo. A selfie on the phone won't be enough.
