"As an artist, I have always been interested in going beyond a traditionally recognizable portrait, to create a portrait-painting, to enter an image, to enter and reveal it through some situation, to tell a story.
However, all this was once predicted by the audience itself. Often after seeing some kind of portrait elements in my works, people would ask me about the person depicted in the paintings. And many simply said: "It's fascinating for me to learn how and whom you will see me - I want to look at myself in a new way, in a different setting, in a different space and time." The viewer's desire to order his portrait, to see himself through the eyes of the artist, to fit into his style is both the highest degree of trust towards the painter and the freedom for him to create: the best incentive for the artist to create a new work.
For me the styles of symbolism and modernity are the closest ones, therefore in my works, I traditionally combine realism with some elements of symbolism, decorative ism, and abstraction. "
